Arch Supplies art shop in Deptford (under the rail arches) is clearing out some ranges of art materials and I got 3 lovely tubs of paint - a Hooker's green (not quite Golden's; it leans towards turquoise) and a raw umber, my go-to for shadows and glazes to deepen colours.
And a nice middle yellow ochre. Not sure what that giant tub will get used for - I'm not known for yellow!
Plus a Golden fluid zinc white which is slightly handy. I prefer to water down the heavy body for my wet glazes, but at half price this works too.
You can see the Hooker's green at work in tomorrow's blog post!
