While not as exciting as finishing paintings or cycling the coast, art supplies are the paper and pens of the studio cabinet.
Usually I run out of this mid-set, so I've been keeping a list this time! Not a long list, but the last thing you want is to run out of masking tape exactly when you need to apply a layer that you want a clean line in. (hence borrowing masking tape the week before last for the Sky painting!)
So the postie delivered this box for me from Jackson's Art Supplies.
- That all important masking tape
- Tub of zinc white which makes up the majority of most of my paintings
- I've run out of yellow iron oxide and cerulean blue (which I prefer the Liquitex version of, oddly)
- A strange little bottle of violet grey that looked interesting (and turns out is actually just titanium white, ultramarine and black - but it's fun to buy something new once in a while. I also want to see what this brand feels like to work with.)

A studio intervention
