Violet paint! Wheeee! On the Lulworth Cove painting...

Afterwards I finished carving a couple of the linocuts, including this 3-plate one. It's only 2 parts in the image - sky and land/water - later I sliced the bottom half into 2 parts too with the land on the left, sea on the right). I rub on charcoal to see the dark/light contrast as a sort of preview of how it will print. This one will actually be a 3 colour print.

wow what an incredible colour! I am looking forward to seeing your printing - I bought some lino a couple of weeks ago but haven't had the ideas (or courage) to use it yet!
Wheee indeed - what a glorious colour. And the lincocutting looks very exciting. I get the feeling the studio space is suiting you quite well?
thanks. :) Gilfling - funny enough I'm still in the old studio! I've been better in 2009 at just getting on with things really. New studio is official start of April, although we should be able to move bits in this month, but I want to finish a few more pieces for my show in Hebden Bridge by the end of March. (so I can varnish and photograph 1st week of April)
Can't wait to see the print.
